OUR VISION

When children leave our Centre they will be empowered to make a difference in tomorrow’s world. They will be so armed because they will know down deep, what love, commitment, participation and togetherness mean.

OUR PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT

Our Centre shall at all times, endeavor to provide a childcare service of excellence, for children and families within our local community, that promotes the wellbeing of the child and their family.

To ensure the success, our Centre has the following philosophy through which we base our practices:

*We recognize and understand that each child and family has their own uniqueness and this will be respected.

*We believe that children are our future and that each individual should be nurtured to achieve their full potential.

* We acknowledged that learning is a lifelong process which occurs in all situations. Because learning is also an individual process, children will respond to experiences in a variety of different ways depending on their development, learning styles and previous experiences.

* Valuing the cultures of the children attending Macedon Child Care Centre through presentation of relevant cultural activities.

* Valuing play as a medium for all aspects of development and learning and creating this through a natural environment.

* Valuing positive reinforcement of appropriate behavior, thereby allowing the child/ children to develop self discipline and parent-supported value systems.

* Recognizing the need for children to practice skills and consolidate their learning by providing opportunities for repetition of experiences and extension of their ideas and designing, establishing and enriched environment that stimulates the imagination, promotes creativity and enhances aesthetic development and appreciation of nature.  

* We value and support staff in their work with children and families and in their own professional development, we strive to be the best we can.

* Macedon Child Care is responsive to the needs of the community and abiding by the relevant laws and policies that relates to the provision of quality children’s services.
